What do you want to celebrate about your athlete?

This girl right here is an inspiration to me. She was placed on a 12u team, and she planned to stay, but she was cut after two seasons. So, she tried out for several teams and was placed on another and then cut. I told her, maybe next time, don't try out as a catcher. She said, no mom, I AM a catcher.

She made another team and that team dissolved. Back to tryouts, made another team- as a catcher - and that team dissolved. Then finally, she found a team as a catcher.

She has persevered going from the bottom of the line up at the beginning, to the clean-up position in the line-up. She works hours and hours on her skills because she wants to be the best she can be and to prove to herself and others that she can do this.

Her freshman year she made Varsity, starting catcher (clean-up hitter) didn't miss an inning. Sophomore year, she made 2nd team all-conference and batted over .500. Her teammates have now told her that she makes hitting look easy.

Yes, I am bragging about her, because, she does not realize it, but I am in awe of her and her unique ability to move forward even when it seemed that everyone around her thought she was not good enough.
